Execution and Risk for

Education Investments

We support private equity firms, operators, and capital partners by pressure-testing execution, adoption, and scalability in K-12 education deals.

What We Do

The Education Company’s investment advisory division supports private equity firms operating in the K-12 education market. We provide market intelligence, operational insight, and execution-focused advisory support before and after capital deployment. Our work helps investors evaluate whether education-focused products and services will function inside real school systems, scale sustainably, and retain long-term value.

Our Value Add

We focus on execution realities that are often missed during traditional diligence.

 – Pre-close diligence focused on execution and adoption risk

 – Assessment of district buying behavior and approval dynamics

 – Validation of go-to-market assumptions

 – Identification of scalability and renewal risks

 – Post-close advisory support during early execution

Why EDCO

The Education Company brings more than 30 years of senior district-level leadership experience across large public school systems. We understand how districts make decisions, how budgets move, and where execution commonly breaks down. By combining education leadership, organizational management, and financial strategy, we help investors reduce risk, validate assumptions, and improve execution across education-focused investments.

THOMAS GLANTON

Dr. Glanton has led and supported schools and districts through system-wide discipline reform, leadership alignment, and operational execution. His experience provides direct insight into how education products are evaluated, adopted, funded, and sustained within large public school systems.

Meet the Team

Even though The Education Company has grown and changed through the years, the core philosophy has stayed consistent. Current and former school administrators work with their school clients as trainers alongside the school’s administration, helping them solve the unique discipline challenges they face.

Thomas Glanton

Dr. Thomas Glanton, Trainer, understands that in order for learning to take place, schools must have discipline and order. As a former high school principal in an urban district in Atlanta, Georgia, Dr. Glanton continues to focus on the art of school leadership in operations, instructional leadership, data analysis, and school performance. Through direct experience with the comprehensive discipline management program, Dr. Glanton transformed a Title One School and was named a Georgia PTA Principal of the Year. Now, as the President of The Education Company, concentrates his efforts in tough inner-city schools and has amazing results with all students.
